Numbers increased while prices fluctuated with a downward trend. Weaner steers topped at 545c and heifers at 520c/kg. Cows eased on last week selling to a top of 350c/kg.
Local bred weaner steers sold for 526c to 545c while heifers made from 450c to 520c/kg. Yearling steers sold from 430c to 516c while yearling heifers returned 400c to 482c/kg.
Grown steers including pastorals made from 318c to 464c/kg to processors and from 300c to 450c/kg to feeder buyers. Grown heifers sold from 300c to 418c/kg.
Heavy prime cows eased selling from 308c to 350c while medium weights made 280c to 350c/kg. Store cows sold to processors for 200c to 278c and feeder and restocker buyers paid from 180c to 274c/kg.
Heavy bulls made 286c to 318c, medium weights returned 280c to 340c and light weight bullies, comprising mainly pastoral types sold from 220c to 380c /kg.
