Numbers eased for a mixed quality yarding at Muchea. Most categories fluctuated with quality and processor demand was slightly stronger with the reduced numbers on offer. Heavy wethers topped the sale at $191 followed by sappy heavy lambs at $188/head.
Airfreight weight lambs made from $75 to $128/head with Merino lines gaining with restocker interest. Trade weights sold from $110 to $155/head. Heavy lambs made from $139 to a top of $188/head. Ram lambs gained selling to processors for $94 to $147/head and from $86 to $131/head to export. Hoggets were in demand selling from $128 up to $182 for young shedding sheep to restockers, while Merino wether hoggets eased on quality selling from $73 to $169/head with Merino ewes hoggets making from $90 to $160/head carrying a fleece.
Mutton fluctuated with store ewes selling from $70 to $132 while prime ewes gained with medium weight ewes returning $133 to $157/head and heavy ewes sold from $151 to $173/head. Heavy wethers sold for $152 to $191 and mature rams eased selling from $40 to $154/head to processors.
