Commentary

Aussie Land & Livestock Yarding: 850hd

Another fantastic and big yarding for the last weaner show & sale on the calendar at Coolabunia. Outstanding quality cattle, drawing from the North & South Burnett Regions gave judges Matt Curtis and Luke Dingle no easy job when it came to the show section. Plenty of great prizes were up for grabs, thanks again to our amazing sponsors. A big congratulations to all of our winners and placegetters in the show section and to the lucky winner of the zero turn Kubota Mower generously donated by Ken Mills Machinery Kingaroy.

A massive congratulations to all vendors for putting forward a great line of top-quality weaners. Prices were phenomenal for both steers and heifers.

Steers topped at $5.78/kg for $1,650/hd averaging $5.30/kg for $1,300/hd. Heavy weaner steers topped at $5.54/kg for $1,750/hd, averaging $5.20/kg for $1,640/hd.

Heifers topped at $4.72/kg for $1,600/hd, averaging $4.20/kg for $1,000/hd. Heavy weaner heifers averaged $4.53/kg for $1,500/hd.
