 Commentary

Aussie Land & Livestock Yarding: 187hd

A smaller yarding at this month’s fat & store sale due to the large yarding at last week’s weaner sale. Prices have improved in most descriptions compared to last months sale. Bulls made up to $3.70/kg for $2,300/hd and averaged $3.50/kg. Bullocks made $4.10/kg for $2,300/hd and averaged $4.05/kg. Store cows averaged $3.45/kg and topped at $3.70/kg for $2,100/hd.

Weaner steers averaged $4.25/kg and topped at $5.00/kg for $1,300/hd. Feeders made up to $4.40/kg for $1,400/hd, averaging $3.60/kg. Heavy feeders made up to $3.90/kg for $1,600/hd. Weaner heifers averaged $3.40/kg topping at $4.05/kg for $1,000/hd. Feeder heifers made up to $4.00/kg for $1,600/kg averaging $3.50/kg. Heavy heifers topped at $3.96/kg and averaged $3.70/kg for $1,600/hd.

Cows & calves averaged $1,400/unit and topped at $1,550/unit.
