Commentary

2560 lambs were yarded in Tamworth 900 more then last week. It was a mixed quality yarding with few pens of heavy and extra heavy lambs on offer. All major buyers were in attendance. Trade weight lambs 20 to 24kg made from $242 to $282/head. Heavy lambs 24kg to 30kg made from $260 to $356/head. The best pen of extra heavy lambs made to $370/head.

Mutton was scarce to say the least yarding just over 400 sheep. Merino ewes made to $290/head cross bred sheep up to 30kg made to $190/head and the best pen of extra heavy crossbred sheep got to $380/head.
