Commentary
There was a similar number of 152 trade and grown cattle at Powranna on Tuesday with over half being cows.
The quality of trade cattle was mixed and yearling steers made 200c to 270c and heifers 190c to 210c and leaner 130c to 154c/kg. The few grown steers made 240c to 252c.
There were 85 cows with a big percentage of store types. The best heavy cows recovered last week’s and sold from 164c to 194c while leaner made 100c to 166c and very lean 50c to 100c/kg liveweght.
