Commentary
Rainfall across the Warwick supply area was very limited during the recent major rain event, resulting in cattle supply remaining close to last week’s large yarding, with a total of 1,721 head penned. Export buyer attendance was good and the southern operator of the previous week returned. The regular feed and trade buyers plus restockers were in attendance and active.
Prices generally improved across most classes with yearling steers over 20c/kg dearer in places. Light weight yearling heifers also experienced a lift in price. Cows were firm to 5c/kg better.
