Commentary 

The Clermont Combined cattle sale today saw a reduced yarding of 651 head penned. Cattle were drawn from all local & surrounding areas, with quality well maintained throughout the yarding. Clermont today saw one operator absent from the market, competition was selective with a stronger demand for well-finished cattle, whilst Plainer quality types experienced limited interest. Best of the Bullocks reached 366.2c/kg to average 362.2 c/kg, while heavy prime Cows over 520kg’s topped at 306.2 c/kg, medium score Cows sold to a top of 285 c/kg and averaged 263 c/kg.

Heavy prime Heifers topped at 333.2c/kg, averaging 328c/kg. Feeder Steers in short supply sold to a top of 436.2 c/kg. Trade weight Steers sold to a top of 451.2 c/kg.
Weaner Steers reached 468.2 c/kg. Trade weight feeder Heifers sold to a top of 328.2c/kg, and weaner heifers sold to a top of 326c/kg.
