Commentary 

The Clermont Combined Agents yarded 748 head for their fortnightly Prime and Store
Sale. Cattle were sourced from local and surrounding areas and comprised of approximately 350 Prime cattle and 400 Store and Feeder cattle with very good quality runs of feeders and fat cattle available. Most processors were in attendance and operating. The Prime section experienced solid competition and prices were firm and inline with other CQ selling centres. The store section today saw some very good runs of feeder steers and heifers yarded selling to very good rates, very few backgrounder/ weaner steers were yarded, what was there sold to a firm trend, and backgrounder heifers sold to a firm to slightly softer market depending on quality.
Heavy Bullocks 600-750kg sold to 314c/kg, Steers 500-600kg sold to 369c/kg. Best of the heavy Cows sold to 279c/kg to average 269c/kg, Cows 400-520 kg sold to 267c/kg, Prime Heifers 500-600kg sold to 296c/kg, while Heifers 400kg-500kg sold to 320c/kg, Heifers 300kg-400kg sold to 306c/kg and heifers 200kg-300kg sold to 290c/kg. Steers 400-500 kg sold to 376c/kg, steers 300-400kg 320c/kg and steers 200-300kg made to 380c/kg.

Dave Scott “Paddy’s Plain’s” Clermont Sold Charolais cross cows topping at 279c/kg weighing 689kg to return $1923.
DM & KF Luke “Lignum” Clermont Sold Composite cows topping at 274c/kg weighing 595kg to return $1633.
AF & CR Guilfoyle “Table Downs” Clermont Consigned a run of Crossbred Feeder steers with the lead pen making 369c/kg weighing 535kg to return $1977, with the run of 67 feeder steers averaging 366c/kg for 501kg to return $1834.
Alisha Hoch “Lake Huffer” Aramac Sold Charolais cross feeder Heifers topping at 320c/kg weighing 403kg to come back at $1291, also selling Angus cross feeder steers topping at 374c/kg for 464kg returning $1737
