Commentary
Numbers increased substantially as agents offered 740 liveweight and open auction cattle. Numbers swelled as one agent offered close to 650 store cattle. The mostly younger cattle came forward from the Nutt family’s Oakden Hills Station. Port Augusta.
Feeders, restockers and the odd local butcher provided most of the competition with buyers represented from the Alice Springs area, Yorke and Eyre Peninsula’s and the local surrounding areas. The few Trade heifers on offer sold from 430c to 450c/kg.
Pastoral steers ranged from 550c to 576c as heifers ranged from 450 to 530c/kg. Pastoral feeder steers ranged from 520c to 530c as heifers sold from 420c to 490c/kg. A large wing of Mickey bulls sold from 432c to 608c/kg.
