Commentary
Agents offered a fair to average quality yarding of 220 liveweight and open auction cattle. The usual buyers were active along with specialty butchers, feeders and restockers with the market generally firm to dearer on better conditioned cattle.
Vealers sold from 440c to 466c, trade steers sold from 430c to 455c with heifers selling from 380c to 420c/kg. Restocker steers sold from 380c to 440c with heifers ranging from 320c to 360c/kg. Feeder steers sold from 430c to 450c as heifers ranged from 380c to 420c/kg. Heavy cows sold from 330c to 370c with light cows fetching 220c to 280c/kg. Bulls sold from 330c to 350c/kg.
