Dublin Sheep Report
Report Date: 11th Aug 2026
Total Yarding: 3,500
Commentary
The recent stormy weather saw numbers ease as the delivery situation was severely affected. A modest 3,500 lambs and just under 500 sheep came forward with quality suprisingly good for this time of the year. The usual trade and processor buyers were active along with feeder and restocker interest. Prices generally remained firm for both the lamb offering and the modest mutton yarding on offer. New season’s lambs are starting to filter in with quality generally mixed across the small numbers on offer.
Light store crossbreds sold from $160 to $200 with the better types selling from $180 to $220/head. Trade weights sold from $245 to $255, heavy trades ranged from $270 to $290 as extreme heavy weights sold from $310 to $375/head. Light new season’s Merino lambs sold from $150 to $214 as older stores ranged from $170 to $200/head. Trade weights ranged from $245 to $270, heavy trades sold from $270 to $280 as the few extra heavies sold from $280 to $290/head. Light mutton sold from $140 to $160, trade weights ranged from $200 to $210 with heavy weights fetching $255 to $265/head.
