Commentary

Inverell offered 2226 sheep and lambs with an increase of 306head but a decrease of 109 lambs. The usual buyers attended to a subdued market . Grown sheep sold to a generally cheaper market and there was little interest for store lambs.

Light Merino lambs sold to $141/head. Crossbred lambs $148 to $185/head. Trade Dorper lambs to process $198 to $300/head. Heavy trade crossbreds and Dorpers were cheaper $280/head and $296/head respectively. Heavy lambs to $30kgs cwt sold $360 to $375/head.

Trade Merino ewes $154 to $175/head. Mixed ewes to 24kgs cwt $160 to $251/head. Heavy ewes to 30kgs cwt made to $320/head. Wethers $160 to $190/head and meat rams $138 to $160/head.
