Commentary
There were approximately 5,200 head penned representing an increase of 2,970 head week-on-week. Quality was excellent with large lines of one mark breeders calves and yearlings including several annual weaner drafts. The crowd was enormous with grass fever in the air and all local agencies were represented as competition from within the supply area remained solid. There were orders operating mostly from within Victoria excluding feedlot purchases headed North. Prices remained firm despite the surge in numbers as spring growth fuels confidence from graziers.
