Commentary

There were approximately 4,330 head penned representing an increase of 1,540 week-on-week. Quality was excellent with a good selection of heavy feeder steers and fewer grown lots while a larger offering of weaners held a few well known vendors consignments. The crowd was huge again and most local agencies were represented as local competition reached another level. There were several feedlot orders operating on suitable lines and they were competing with a sense of urgency. All categories sold to stronger demand with prices improving from $50 to $150/head.
