The cattle market was remarkably stable considering recent global events shaking financial
markets and the US slapping a 10% tariff on Australian Beef. Buyers were focussed more on
domestic factors, such as the QLD floods, widespread NSW rain and the expectation of further
favourable weather conditions, with steers topping at 486.2c/kg and heifers at 358.2c/kg. Despite the US tariff impacting the cow beef export market, the cows topped at 306.2c/kg on the day.
