Report Date: 15th April 2026
Total Yarding: 1,035

A larger yarding of 1035 head this week. Export and slaughter market was slightly cheaper, although firm considering the number of cattle yarded. Best cows sold anywhere from $3.40 to $3.45/kg. Heavy feeder steers sold to an easier market. Feeder heifers were noticeably cheaper as a large number of cattle start to flow into the sale yards, with any high shoulder heifers selling to sub $3/kg. Restocker and yearling steers also met an easier market today, although good quality cattle still sold to a reasonable market. Weaner heifers saw the biggest decline in price today, with a handful of isolated salesover $3/kg. Smaller heifers not up to spec were hard to sell.
