1026 head yarded this week. A very strong yarding of cattle came foreward this week, with the market remaining fully firm to slightly dearer across the majority of descriptions. Competition was strong throughout, underpinned by the outstanding quality of cattle on offer.
Heavy cows held firm to last week’s rates with strong compeition from a full field of buyers. Bulls and bullocks also maintained last week’s strong levels.
A top quality line-up of 160 heavy feeder steers attracted plenty of attention and met exceptionally strong competition, selling to a very strong market.
The quality continued through the yarding, with a remarkable offering of feeder and backgrounder heifers presented. Strong buyer demand saw vendors rewarded with some excellent prices.
Backgrounder/re-stocker steers and heifers also held their ground, with a full panel of buyers operating strongly across the yarding.
