There was an increase in lamb numbers but the quality was a little plainer. There were several runs of new season lambs but most were dry in the skin and lacking a little condition. There were plenty of lighter Dorpers and a reduced offering of Merino lambs and most fell into the light trade bracket. There were some good shorn trade weights and heavy shorn lambs were back in volume. Again extra heavy weights were in very short supply. The market sold to a stronger trend.
