Commentary
Similar numbers to last week however store lambs made up a large percentage of the sale while mutton supplies declined. There were some handy lines of heavy lambs but values eased $3/$4 on those while the remaining categories remained equal with the usual group of buyers mostly present.
Big lines of Merino store lambs sold from $10 to $57 while Cross-bred Store lambs made $15 to $58/head. Light Merino lambs were selling from $47 to $69 and Cross-bred light lambs from $50 to $89/head. Trade lambs returned $80 to $111 and heavy lambs eased slightly selling from $100 to $124/head.
Cross-bred and Merino heavy wethers returned $35 to $60 while the limited number of Merino ewe hoggets returned $22 to $49 and Crossbred hoggets sold to a top of $55/head.
Boner ewes started at $3 up to $14, medium ewes were selling from $21 to $38 and heavy ewes returned $30 to $45/head. younger Rams sold to a top of $65 while mature rams ranged from $1 to $28/head.
