Tuesday 23rd June 2026
Total yarding: 628
Agents Boyd O’Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 628 head of cattle. Over 200 mixed quality cows came to hand with the medium grade cows selling to dearer rates. Heavier sought after export cows eased up to 10cents a kilo, but still selling in the range of $2500-$2800. Feeder and restocker steers sold fully firm comparing to last week’s very strong market. A useful yarding of trade and feeder heifers also sold above expectations considering the quality offered. Vealers and weaners met strong competition with vealer heifers selling $3.30 to $3.95 a kilo, with some of the weaners and vealers up a $1 a kilo on the same market at this time last year.
