Commentary 

Clermont Agents yarded 656 head at their fortnightly sale with approximately 440 Prime cattle and 220 Store cattle. The Prime cattle on offer today were of good quality and were met with strong competition with all regular processors in attendance as well as two additional Southern processors, the Prime market saw lifts of over 40c/kg in places from last weeks CQ sales with Heavy Cows reaching 348c/kg to av. 334c/kg while Cows 400-520kg made to 320c/kg. Heavy Bullocks saw significant lifts with HGP free Bullocks 600-750kg 369c/kg to average 366c/kg and Bullocks 500-600kg reaching 356c/kg, Prime Heifers in the 500-600kg range made to 355c/kg and Heifers 400-500kg topped at 350c/kg .
There were limited numbers in the store section today however there was good quality throughout with all categories selling to a firm market, Steers 300-400kg topped at 400c/kg while Steers 200-300kg made to 402c/kg, Heifers in the 300-400kg range topped at 360c/kg and Heifers under 300kg too few to quote.

DJ & JL Connelly “Peninsula” Clermont sold HCP Free Brahman Bullocks topping at 369c/kg for 602kgs to return $2225.
Skyview Farming “Glen Idol” Clermont offered Brahman Cows topping at 328c/kg for 588kg to return $1929
1 & LM Oshannessy “Bellevue” Clermont sold Brahman Cows 581kgs for 326c/kg to make
$1897.
Robert Church “Logan Downs” Clermont consigned Simmental X Steers with the lead pen weighing 360kg for 398c/kg to return $1433, also selling Simmental X Heifers topping at 350c/kg for 406kg to return $1421.
