Commentary
The Clermont Combined Agents had a reduction in numbers today, yarding 1354×23 head for their fortnightly sale. Once again good quality Prime Cattle made up the majority of the yarding with good quality cows, prime heifers and bullocks on offer the Prime market held firm on last weeks rates and slightly stronger than last fortnights sale. The Store section today was dominated by steers and heifers in the 300-400kg weight bracket, which sold to a slighter chaper trend but remained in line with the broader market.
Heavy Bullocks 600-750kg sold to 343c/kg, Bullocks 500-600kg sold to 332c/kg, Steers 400-500kg sold to 326c/kg, Steers 300-400kg made to 352c/kg while Steers 200-300kg made to 352c/kg. Best of the heavy Cows sold to 278c/kg to average 269c/kg, Cows 400-520kg sold to 294c/kg, Prime Heifers 500-600kg sold to 306c/kg, Heifers 400-500kg sold to 300c/kg, Heifers 300-400kg topped at 280c/kg, and Heifers 200-300kg sold to 240c/kg.

DA Scott “Paddy’s Plains” Clermont sold Charolais cross heifers for 290c/kg weighing 475kg to come back at $1377.
R Church “Logan Downs” Clermont offered Simmental cross steers selling to 346c/kg for 352kg to return $1221.
Also offering Simmental cross heifers making to 272c/kg for 383kg to return $1222.
