Commentary 

Clermont Combined agent’s yarded 809 head for their fortnightly Prime and Store Sale. Prime Cows dominated the yarding and sold to an improved market, the rest of the yard was made up of smaller runs of cattle of which there was quality throughout and sold to a firm market. All regular buyers were in attendance and operating, cattle were drawn from the main supply area as well as Alpha and Aramac. Cows over 520kg sold to 276c/kg to average 266c/kg. Cows 400-520kg sold to 266c,’kg, Heifers 500-600kg topped at 290c/kg to average 2880kg, Heifers 400-500kg sold to 308c/kg to average 278cfkg, Heifers 300-400kg topped at 296cfkg and Heifers 200-300kg sold to 296c,tkg to average 254c/kg, Bullocks 500-600kg sold to 316c/kg, Feeder Steers 400-500kg topped at 348c/kg, 300400kg steers sold to 300c/kg to average 297c/kg, steers 200-300kg sold to 3200kg while steers under 200kg topped at 3520kg.

Highlights

Dave Scott “Paddy’s Plains• Clermont sold Charolais cross cows for 276c/kg for 622kg to return $1720.

The Rostron Family “Eulimbie• Alpha sold Droughtmaster cross cows for 276c.tkg for 598kg to return S 1652.

The Burnett Group ‘Monteagle’ Clermont offered Brahman cross heifers selling to 290c/kg for 528kg to make $1534.

The Saal Family “Mazeppa” Clermont Sold Droughtmaster cows for 274dkg weighing 569kg to make S’ 562, also offering Droughtmaster heifers weighing 539kg for 284C/kg to realise $1531.

Connor Clement “Bendemeer Clermont sold Angus steers for 348c/kg weighing 402kg to come back at $1399.
