Commentary
The Clermont Combined Agents had an increased yarding today of 1525 head for their fortnightly sale. Once again Prime Cattle made up the majority of the yarding followed by large good quality runs of feeder steers and feeder heifers. Cattle were mainly drawn from the local supply area. The Market held firm today relevant to what’s happening in the broader market. Heavy Bullocks 600-750kg sold to 351c/kg, while Steers 500-600kg sold to 361c/kg, Steers 400-500kg sold to 361c/kg, Steers 300-400kg too few to accurately quote as well as Steers under 300kg. Best of the heavy Cows sold to 295c/kg to average 290c/kg, Cows 400-520kg sold to 306c/kg, Prime Heifers 500-600kg sold to 334c/kg, Heifers 400-500kg sold to 331c/kg, Heifers 300-400kg topped at 320c/kg, and Heifers under 300kg too few to accurately quote.
