Total Yarding: 1,959

Commentary

There was a yarding of 1,959 sheep, consisting of 950 lambs and 1,000 mutton. Quality of the lambs was good with several drafts of supplementary fed lambs through the sale. competition was strong with buyers keen to fill orders. Heavy trade lambs sold from $178 to $251 while heavy and extra heavy lambs ranged from $240 to $258/head. Dorper lambs reached a top price of $240/head. hoggets sold to $255/head.

The good penning of mutton continued to remain strong with ewes selling to $218 and wethers sold to $199/head.
