Commentary
Inverell penned 1103 grown sheep and 1367 lambs. There was a limited offering of finished lambs with that category showing dearer trends. The main thrust was for grown sheep which sold to dearer trends for most categories. All regular buyers attended with restockers operating in a limited capacity.
Light trade lambs gained $24/head $110 to $130/head while trades were up by a small margin $170 to $202/head. Heavy trades slipped $7/head $200 to $230/head. Heavy Dorper lambs $236/head and similar weight crossbreds to $260/head. Limited restocker capacity for better lambs ranged $133 to $162/head. Hoggets $90 to $160/head.
Light crossbred ewes made to $70/head and Merinos $78 to $80/head. Medium weight ewes $70 to $100/head. Heavy crossbred ewes $3/head better $118 to $155/head and Merino wethers to process $152/head.
