Total Yarding: 1,361

Commentary

Numbers were down for a total yarding of 1361 head of mixed quality cattle. Young cattle on offer were mainly presented in store condition with prices fluctuating seeing the better-quality lines gain with demand. A good selection of trade cattle saw prices trend up on all categories. Cows continued to rise with heavy cows reaching 196c and heavy bulls eased selling to 178c/kg.

Weaner steers sold from 230c to 310c, and heifers made from 100c to 246c/kg. Yearling steers returned 246c to 280c while heifers sold from 200c to 268c/kg.

Grown steers weighing over 600kg sold to 220c while lighter weights made 180c to 260c /kg. Grown heifers weighing under 540kg made from 210c to 242c while over 540kg weights returned 146c to 240c/kg.

Heavy cows sold from 150c to 196c while store cows sold from 52c to 158c quality dependent. Heavy bulls made from 140c to 178c /kg.
