Commentary

The Sarina Combined Agents this week yarded 421 Head, mainly local cattle including some consignments from Proserpine and Nebo. This included 167 Steers, 213 Heifers, 32 Cows, 1 Bull, 4 Micks & 2×2 Cows & Calves. A good quality yarding sold to improved prices throughout the sale. Kill Cows were significantly dearer due to the return of a local butcher. Weaner Steers saw another price rise with very good competition from local and southern graziers. A good yarding of yearling and Weaner Heifers sold to very solid local competition, being dearer on the breeding quality & good feeder heifers.

I & T Baillie, Koumala sold very good Droughtmaster steers to return at $970

Jardine Trust sold high quality Brahman steers to return at $670

A & L Watt sold good quality Brangus weaner steers to return at $570

Leroy Head, Carmilla, sold VGQ Santa cross steers to return at $560

M Baulch, Ilbilbie sold a fat Brahman Cow for $1700

V Jackson, Greenmount sold Droughtmaster weaner Steers to return $720

D Camilleri, Hay Point sold Droughtmaster Steers for $800
