Previous Close Cattle Markets Summary
Cattle markets strengthened across most regions, with reduced yardings, wet weather disruptions, and strong buyer competition driving widespread price gains for feeders, weaners, trade cattle, and cows.
The trends appear to be:
- Supply lower overall, with significant declines in NSW and parts of Queensland despite larger offerings in Victoria
- Strong buyer demand across most selling centres, supported by improved seasonal conditions and renewed confidence
- Feeder cattle performed strongly, recording notable gains in most markets
- Weaner and restocker cattle attracted solid competition, particularly where quality was available
