Queensland

  • Roma Store yarded 11,255 head, with dry conditions increasing supply as mixed-quality cattle sold 15–30c/kg cheaper under selective

  • Warwick yarded 1,173 cattle, with the market largely unchanged as firm feeder demand offset easier backgrounder steers.
  • Mareeba yarded 872 head, with quality store and prime cattle supporting stronger cow, steer and heifer prices.
  • Moreton yarded 815 head, with heavy cows and feeders selling well while weaners eased slightly on quality.

Summary: Queensland markets were mixed, with dry-season turnoff increasing supply and pressuring young cattle while feeder and processor demand remained solid.

New South Wales

  • Inverell yarded fewer mixed-quality cattle, with stronger cow prices lifting the market slightly despite mixed feeder results.
