New South Wales

  • Moss Vale recorded strong demand for high-quality cattle, with trade yearlings, feeders and heavy prime cows dearer.
  • Silverdale remained firm overall, with heavy feeder steers strengthening while most other categories held steady.
  • Forbes, Gunnedah, Scone and Carcoar reports provided no current yarding or price trend.

Summary: NSW cattle markets were generally stronger, led by strong demand for quality yearlings, feeders, restocker cattle and heavy cows, although some lighter cattle remained under pressure.

Victoria

  • Bairnsdale strengthened as returning processors increased competition, lifting grown cattle and cows, while heavy bulls eased.
  • Echuca experienced subdued and selective buying, with top-end cattle mostly firm, general steers and heifers easing, and cows strengthening.
  • Shepparton, Koonwarra and Sale reports provided no current yarding or price trend.

South Australia

  • Mt Gambier recorded stronger buyer competition and improved quality, lifting prices across all categories, particularly grown steers, bullocks and heavy cows.

  • Dublin provided no current yarding or price trend.
